Properties
Stock items can have various properties.
Taxable - Indicate whether this item is taxable or nontaxable.
Fractions allowed - prevent users from entering decimal values into stock quantity fields.
Enter new description - During the quotation process, you can allow the user to change or add to the existing description of an item.
Catalogue item - Only catalogue items are printed on brochures. This allows the system to create a brochure of the catalogue items.
So when the user quote on a car, there might be a bumper, roll bar and radio also on the quotation. Since you only want
to specify the features of the car and maybe the radio, set the bumper and roll bar not as catalogue items.
5. Serial Item - If you require serial items on quotations, you can enable this property.
6. Non GP item - If this item should not influence your gross profit margin on reports, you can disable and exclude this item on reports.
7. On Promotion - When you run specials, you can set the promotion property. this will also be highlighted to the sales person during the quote process.
8. Company - you can link an item to a company. In some cases items might only be available in a certain region.
9. Pack size - indicate the packaging specifications of the item.
10. Pack description - For ordering purposes it is important to know the pack description.
