This is a very powerful feature in Odyssey. During the quotation process you might have to specify quite a few products that goes with this stock item.

 

So if we look back at the main item we started with, that was only a computer box and DVD player. What about the hard drive, memory etc.

 

To help the sales people and ensure that they remember to include these items we created groups. Now you can group certain items and the user can select to add them to the quote.

 

As you can see, stock code B1 is our main code "Computer Box with DVD player". The rest of this grouping specify the various options available.

Customers might have requested a different size monitor, or more memory and now sales people can select this during the quote process.

 

Once the sales person selects this code during the quotation process, the system will pop-up a message where he can specify the parts associated with this item.

 

 

It is as easy as that to build a complete computer on "THE FLY" during the quoting process.
