Advance Search
Note : Can be found on most reports or lead and opportunity GRIDS.
The advance search button enables us to filter on multiple fields. These fields can be standard or customized fields you created or added to leads and opportunities etc.
Example of where to find the button on the Opportunity GRID:
The above screenshot shows the location of the advance search button on the opportunity GRID, but you will also find this button on reports, lead pages etc.
Click the advance search button and you will be presented with the following screen. Here you can select to search exact matches of any of the fields in the database or you can select to search part of those fields.
Change the criteria to AND or OR functionality. In the above example we are searching for all customers with surname SMITH or all customers with Surname BOTHA.
Select the required field from the dropdown to search on, these will be set fields as well as your own custom fields you created.
The are various operators that you can select, like "equal to" which would be an exact match. You can also use "Like" to search for part of field values.
The filter box contains the criteria that you are looking for, like the company name, surname or any part thereof.
Use the plus(+) and minus(-) buttons to add more search lines or delete the search lines no longer required.
